Okay, so I downloaded TF2 the other day and when I go to play it it gets to the loading screen and at the bottom has another little loading screen, it gets to "Creating sound caches' when I get an error that goes:

"The instruction at "0x00010101" referenced memory at "0x09d81631". The memory could not be "written". Click OK to terminate the program."

So I'm stuck, I've browsed a lot to try and find the answer but couldn't find anything similar to this. I used my mothers laptop to download and (what I hoped to do) play it, rather than my own because mine can't run it. My mothers laptop has some problem with the internet though and only websites she's visited before are working (also something I'm trying to fix) so I can't post the specs from her laptop I'm afraid.

Anyone got any ideas on whow to fix this?

LOL, memory management issues, so Windowish. Have you tried rebooting your computer? That's likely to free that RAM.

No, not yet.

I was given a link to their website that showed how to solve the exact problem I was having, but none of the suggestions worked. Been busy the last day or so, haven't got around to trying them again.
