The fine folks at Ion Audio are showing off a prototype Rock Band drum set complete with beefier drums and some cymbals out on the CES show floor. Apparently release is pending on customer interest, and there's no word on how much Ion's planning on charging, but we can say with much certainty that we'd jump at a chance to add this kit to the existing Engadget HQ collection of Rock Band paraphernalia. Yea saw those, they are pretty dam ugly if you ask me...Would definately make the game feel a lot more realistic though. I would love to see a more proper drum set like that be used in Rock Band 2.

lol, i didnt think about that. The current drum set is a pain in the ass to set up and put away. Plus I suppose you'd need a massive open area to be able to play..
