Lining Up?

So, who's lining up tomorrow? And what time are you going? I am, and I'll probably go at 10:00 or 10:30.

I may/may not go depending on others. However, if I don't go, I've got Tuesday morning off and could easily just go to the local mall and pick up my copy there. Fortunately, there are two game stores and most people forget about going to it.

I'm not. I didnt even know the game was coming out tomorrow untill yesterday XD

I dont know when I'm going to get the game..I'll pick it up at sometime, but when that is I dunno.. I'm thinking about waiting untill my birthday so i dont have to pay for it(June 4) but dont know if I'll be able to wait a month. I might be able to, considering how little I play games now, but I'll just have to wait and see.

I got it for the PS3...I've been playing it for a few hours, and it's pretty good so far, (I haven't done many missions yet, I'm mainly just running around killing people) but I have to say that the graphics are extremely disappointing. The reviews said that they didn't sacrifice the graphics, but they really did. Anything that is far away is very blurry and odd looking, and everything is full of jaggies. But there are some purely awesome things in there to balance it out. Like when I sniped a guy who was driving a taxi, his head hit the steering wheel causing the horn to go off, and his foot stayed on the pedal so the car didn't stop, it hit a parked van, the van tipped over, and the alarm went off. That was fu¢king amazing...

The driving has been changed a lot too. I'm not sure that I like the changes in that though...I preferred the unrealistic driving where you could easily take a sharp corner going 100 MPH...

The police has been largely improved. They don't have psychic powers to tell when you kill somebody, (they have to see you do it for your wanted level to go up) and when they do see you it is much easier to get rid of the stars. Rather than having to find an ally to hide in until a timer runs out there is a circle on your map that shows where the police are looking (it gets bigger when you get more stars) and if you get out of that circle then the wanted level goes away.

And there are a lot of minor things that make it much better. Like when you shoot somebody in a car, blood will splat on the windshield and stay there. The same thing happens if you hit somebody or shoot them next to your car. And the AI will do cool things, like if it starts raining some of them will pull out umbrellas, while others will stand under something and shiver. And Niko does not have totally stationary sex like Carl...

The main character is also likable in this one. In the previous games the main character didn't talk, or was very uninteresting. But Niko has some personality. And he makes funny remarks. For example, he sometimes says: "I'm a hired killer, and I pay for sex. My mother would be ashamed" after he...finishes with a prostitute. And it is made even funnier by his accent.

Now that I've typed this long thing I think I'm going to go to bed...

ah too bad you bought the crappy version of the game, now you dont get the full content. Your loss I guess.

and I know what your going to come back and say agaisnt that. We will just have to see if M$ upgraded the servers enough, and even if they didnt, the laggy live wont last forever!

Eh, the DLC will probably just be a new hat or something...And I'd rather have the game for a few months when my 360 dies than have a new hat...

Skipped on lining up last night. However, I left this morning at 8:00am and arrived at the mall around 8:30am. Which, gave me 30 spare minutes to walk around. Once the mall opened I headed straight for the upstairs game store but they hadn't got their shipment in. So, after that, I decided to take my chances at EB Games and managed to be the second in line.

Just spent the last hour or so playing the game and I must say it's quite fun.

Ah, I just found that the graphics are much better than I'd previously thought. It seems that it was running at 1080i, I changed it to 720p and it's a lot better. And, according to IGN it looks better and runs better in general on the PS3.

And I believe I was arguing with somebody about the PS3 having slow load times...IGN says the PS3 has faster load times on GTA.

Edit: Ha ha, I just got killed in the coolest way. I was shooting people while they were driving their cars, I killed one guy so his car was just sitting there, then I went to the car behind it and shot him, but like I explained before he stepped on the gas when he was dead and smashed me between the two cars instantly
