Random Fun Things to Play on GTA IV

What do you do online with friends? Just matchmaking? Chat room? Play mini games?

With friends we try to make fun games to play:
- Racing (line up at a traffic light, set our way point to a specific location (example: first to pick up the shotgun) and begin the race on the green light)
- Tag (One guy is it, everyone else runs, to tag another person you must kill them)
- Stunts (In cars; best place - the airport)

I usually just play the 'free roaming' quick match...

I enjoy finding groups of friends, or people who genuinely want to explore the map. Then i ruin their enjoyment by stalking/killing them continuously.

I remember once at the airport, there were a group of 5 or so players. Each had sportscars/motorbikes and were racing around. I just setup camp onto of the airport building and rocketed the crap outta them for like 30mins.

I've only had a dabble, but is it me or is there no unlimited (time) free roaming maps that you can just join, walk about in, shoot people and respawn?

It is great fun though.

Also is it true it only goes up to 720p? I upscaled it to 1080i and it looks the same, but not great. (Probably a question for another thread).

720p is generally considered better for gaming, and anything else with a lot of movement....So I don't know why you would want to use 1080i. Interlacing blowz.
