The Halo 3 Heroic map pack is now available for free download...in the US anyways, people on WiiChat from the UK are saying that they can't find it...

LOL @ the people who paid for it.

And as a completely off topic note: Why the hell does the 360 now make the really annoying MSN Messenger sound when a download finishes? And why is the DVD drive on a timer? Why the fuçk would they do that? It's insane! I'll either get my finger caught in it, or I won't have the disk in all the way and it will get scratched! WTF?

Note: I haven't played my 360 much lately.

yup Ive been waiting for this pack to come free Ive never once bought a Halo Map Pack, I've always waited for them to become free I love how Bungie does that, I wish theyd make them free a little quicker though so I dont have to wait so long..lol. This one actually became free pretty quick though

I have no idea about the two things you mentioned, I very rarely keep my DVD drive open for a long period of time, and its been a while since I've downloaded something. I understand the timer to auto-close the DVD drive, thats a pretty neat feature, it protects your DVD drive so you dont forget its open and then accidentally snap it off.

I'll have to see what you mean about the download thing though.

LOL Every game I play there is someone complaining about how they just bought the maps yesterday.

And the DVD drive should at least wait a minute or two before it closes. I don't even have time to pull the disc out, put it in it's case and pull another one out before it starts to close.

wtf, that doesnt sound right. Yesterday I was taking a disk out, walking over to my game shelf, putting it away, grabbing a new disk and popping it in without the thing ever Auto-Closing...
