I'm rather pissed off about the Android. I just looked into it and immediately stopped when I found that the SDK is for Java. :S Not only is it a horrible language, it is also an extremely horrible choice for mobile devices. You can't afford to run a bloody virtual machine on something that has 30MB RAM! Your battery life would be utter shite and your phone would probably overheat because of how much the JVM(s) is/are taxing the CPU. Then you can just forget multitasking because that's not going to happen unless your phone is the size of a bloody laptop! It's insane! Mobile devices are where efficiency is most important, but they don't seem to give this even the slightest consideration.

Look at Apple by contrast, they're using Objective-C which is very efficient, yet they're still stressing to every developer how important it is to optimize their code as much as possible.

Then on top of that, they don't even have any RAD tools, so you have to develop the interface through XML files. (IMO visual things should be designed visually)

This is horrible, I should be immensely happy about an OS for mobile devices that is using the Linux kernel, but it's an epic fail.

Yes. You just have to be an ADC member. (there is a free membership) You can't use it though, because you don't have a Mac. HAHAHAHA Not to mention the fact that you can't program.

I could program before I took any classes. And I haven't really learned anything in those classes. I've always been way ahead of the class and I already knew about everything that everyone else was learning. Plus we don't use Objective-C in my classes...we used Pascal in Programming I, (which isn't bad, but isn't very useful either) and Java in Programming II. (which is just shite)
