I just wrote this little game because I want to get a screen capture of me writing it for a video for my Video Productions class. It's not very good, but it works for the purposes that I was writing it for....

YouTube - Tic-Tac-Toe Game

(I know the screen is stretched and looks like shit, but I'm too lazy to fix it...why can't YouTube just leave it at the size it is if it is smaller than the required one?....douches.)

I made a real simple game in Flash last year, I never got it working 100%..some errors in my code I think..
Its a simple spin the wheel to select a category and then a multiple choice question appears and you choose 1 of 4 answers. It was originally a 2 player game but I cant remember if I took out the 2 player to made the code more simple or not.. If you get the question right, you get a point and continue on, if you get it wrong, you lose a point and it goes to the other player.

But ActionScript is easy...well, at least ActionScript 2...3 is a bit confusing.

Yea I know Action Script was amazing to work with, it was so dam easy. We had been learning ****ing Java in my programming class. Stupidest language ever. Going from Java to Action Script was just phenomenal.

Paint, if I can send you the files would you be willing to have a look at it and see if you can figure out wtf is wrong? I would like to get the game working..I only had about 3 days to make it and I had my teacher have a look at it to see what was wrong, and she found one error that she fixed, but she didnt have time to work out what else was wrong.

I absolutely hate Java. It's the most horrible language I've ever used. Unfortunately we're using it in my programming class now. :/ It's like somebody tried to make a hybrid between a high level language (like Ruby, or Python) with a low level language (like C) but something went horribly wrong. It has all the bad things of both types of languages. It is slow like high level languages, and has a bad syntax like low level languages. Well, I wouldn't even say that, it is worse than most low level languages....much worse. After writing Hello World I feel like I've written a fuçking novel. It makes me consider brainfuçk as a viable alternative.

It's been a while since I've used ActionScript. I guess I can take a look at it, but I'm not sure I'll be able to spot the problem.

I think I'm going to enter in a programming competition. I'll just have to write a payroll app that seems fairly simple. But unfortunately 30% of the score is based on your seven minute oral presentation. :/ I'm not good with speeches...But my programming and web design teachers convinced me to do it. My programming teacher said if I can get the oral presentation down then I'll "have them in my hands". If I place 1st or 2nd then I'll go to nationals in Arkansas and get out of school for a week. And I'd be able to put that on resumes and stuff. But the best part is that he is going to let me work on it during class rather than doing the assignments...that are in Java. :/

That would definitely be worth it to do paint if you want to do something in programming when your out of school. Which I would recommend since you seem to be good at it. Programmers are in very high demand as nobody wants/can do it lol. You will never find yourself out of a job, or unable to find a job as a programmer.
