I usually don't eat breakfast. I have a light snack around three or four PM. Something like some fruit, or bread. Or sometimes a bit of microwaved pasta. Then I have a large meal for dinner. Then I usually have another snack somewhere around midnight.
Well that sounds horrible... |

![]() Baked Apples Ingredients: 185 ml oats 185 ml flour 165 ml cup light brown sugar, packed 5ml ground cinnamon 1 ml ground ginger pinch kosher slat 125 ml cold margerine, diced 4 Braeburn apples (Fuji will substitute) 20 ml liquid honey *NOTE: USE DIRECTED APPLES. Some apples are better with baking than others ![]() Method: 1) combine all dry ingredients in a bowl with diced butter. Rub mixture between finger tips until it forms small moist clumps in a loose sandy mixture. Refrigerate. 2) To prepare apples, use a knife to cut out a cylindrical cone out of the top of the apple, moving 2.5cm outside of the core, like cutting a pumpkin Remove top and discard. Remove the remaining core and seets but do not puncture the base of the apple!3) place apples on a baking sheet and fill each center with 5 ml honey. Spoon in mixture, packing lightly until heaped and overflowing over sides of the apples. 4) Bake in oven at 350 F or 180 C for 40 minutes or until filling is golden brown and the top of a paring knife can be inserted into the side of the apple with little or no resistance. Let apples stand for 10 minutes before serving. Why not try? Adding nuts, like walnuts or pecan pieces for extra crunch with the oats. |
