I've only ever used Windows pc's/laptops. I've never even seen a Mac in real life believe it or not

I'm currently using an IBM Thinkpad which i could really do with upgrading, so im debating whether or not to take the plunge.

Few questions:

1. What's mac book should i get
2. How long will it take for me to get used to OS X?
3. Anything else i should know?

1. I'd just get the regular MacBook. The only major difference between it and the MacBook Pro is that the Pro has a dedicated GPU. But that's hardly worth the price difference unless you're going to be doing a lot of video editing...

And an Air is not really suited to be a main PC.

2. It took me a few days. If you're familiar with Unix then you should feel right at home.

Ok, thanks.

Probably gonna take me a while to swap windows apps -> osx apps, but im kinda looking forward to it

Black epically fails. The only one who can do black correctly is Lenovo. And that's just because ThinkPads are soo epically fugly that they become sexy.

different strokes for different folks. i think blackBooks are sexy...but i only have half as much as i need to get one...would i be better off just getting an iMac? (the $1099 one)

You may not even be able to get a black (or white) MacBook soon. It seems to me that they'll be transitioning it to an aluminum finish, like the rest of their products.
