I made a thread like this on WiiChat a long time ago and it did pretty good, so I will try it here. So, what do you guys think about Alcohol, Tobacco, pot, and any other drugs. I don't see anything wrong with using any of them and people should have the right to do whatever drugs they want since it is their body. I don't think I would ever do anything more than what I already do, (Alcohol, and Marijuana) because they can screw up your life if you use them improperly, and I don't really want to be like everyone else I'm related to. IMO Alcohol's benefits outweigh the negative effects, and pot has nearly no negative effects that aren't caused by the law. Tobacco is just repulsive and I don't see any reason I would want to do it. It smells like shit and doesn't really give you a high or anything, but if you want to do it I don't have a problem with it, just stay the fuçk away from me when you are smoking. (or preferable stay away from me all the time because you smell like ass)

I don't have a problem with any of those unless you are endangering someone else's safety. That's when it becomes a problem.

I think smoking is so pointless.. all it does to you is slowly poison your lungs,I just don't understand why people would want to just inhale dirty unhealthy air.

As for alcohol I think it's a good thing, I just wish people would know their limits..

As for drugs and such I think as long as you don't let it ruin your lives then go for it.. like there's some people who steal money of their own family to get the stuff, and that's disgusting, but for people who just take it occasionally and their not addicted and they know when to stop etc I don't see anything wrong with that.

Personally I don't smoke because I see it as a waste of money, I do drink but not too much and only occasionally, and I don't do drugs, I have previously smoked pot and it wasn't a bad experience.. it just wasn't for me.

LOL For some reason all my friends have turned into hicks, and they have all started chewing. :/ My one friend is like a chew dealer. LOL He buys a pack and charges everybody $1 for a dip. They've offered me some, but I refused since if I do something that is going to damage my body then I'm going to do something that actually gives me a high and has some benefits. Or even better, something that doesn't harm me but gets me high.

Yeah, a lot of kids chewed on the baseball team I was on over the summer. Also, what drug doesn't harm you and gets you high?

Pot. The Marijuana itself doesn't harm you. Breathing in the ash can, just as it can from any foliage, but thats why you vaporize it.

1. The short-term effects of marijuana can include problems with memory and learning; distorted perception; difficulty in thinking and problem solving; loss of coordination; and increased heart rate. Research findings for long-term marijuana abuse indicate some changes in the brain similar to those seen after long-term abuse of other major drugs. For example, cannabinoid (THC or synthetic forms of THC) withdrawal in chronically exposed animals leads to an increase in the activation of the stress-response system and changes in the activity of nerve cells containing dopamine. Dopamine neurons are involved in the regulation of motivation and reward, and are directly or indirectly affected by all drugs of abuse.

2. THC impairs the immune system's ability to fight disease.

3. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50 to 70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than does tobacco smoke.

..A dry, shredded green/brown mix of flowers, stems, seeds, and leaves of the hemp plant Cannabis..

So, it's a mix?

It does have health effects.

But they are only short term. So its only going to do those things while you are high. And like I said, the smoke can harm you like any other smoke, thats why you vaporize it and don't breathe in any smoke. And the reason it has more carcinogens is because cigarettes have filters. A joint doesn't. The part about withdrawals isn't very accurate either. You can go through withdrawals with anything, but Marijuana isn't physically addictive, so you could go through the same withdrawals with corn, if you really enjoyed it. Trust me, I've done lots of research on it.

I really don't care.. just wanted to debate something. I have no problem at all with people doing what they want to their body. Like I said though, as long as it doesn't affect others. :|
