Also, I would've given more space to root since that's where all of your apps and stuff will be...I guess it just depends on how much stuff you plan to install...

Looking at my Mac, (it's all on one partition, but assuming it wasn't) my root has about 54GB of data and my home has about 65GB. (which should be smaller, but I have to clean out the cache of shit that Final Cut has rendered) Of course I have a lot of heavy apps like the Adobe suite and Final Cut Studio, but still...

You're still using PS/2? Come on, it's no longer the 90's. Get a nice Apple Keyboard. Ah, these chiclet style keys are excellent. I can type so much faster and with many less typos. It increases productivity tremendously. A keyboard is definitely something that you don't want to be a cheap bastard about.

naa, i dont want to pay $50 us for a keyboard... about ps/2 thats what my motherboard takes and i don't want to waste a usb port for a keyboard... and if i really wanted usb, i could always get a ps/2 to usb adapter

Emphasis on this: A keyboard is definitely something that you don't want to be a cheap bastard about.

And the wired Apple Keyboard has two usb ports on it, so you won't be losing any.

and this has everything that apple has, all the multimedia buttons and stuff, the old thing that is different is that its logitech and that its ps/2 and its $30 less and its black...
