Thats a good thing. And why do you need floppies? Are you planning on installing DOS? LOL The Windows XP discs should be bootable.....unless you don't have a CD drive....but then you wouldn't have Ubuntu......

lets just say i got the cd from a friend, when i try to boot from it, it goes to the blue screen formats the hard drive and tells me to restart to began instalation and when i restart it goes to the blue screen :/

I'm not sure if i am going to put Linux on my computers.
I work with Gimp a lot. Photoshop as well, but since I like photoshop more, I don't think Im going to place it on my computer.

Photoshop is such a neato program. Gimp is also good but not near as good as photoshop, but Gimp is a free program so, most people will probably want to place gimp on their computer, if they don't run linux that is...
