New Upcoming Laptop

So, yesterday my fiance told me I am getting a new laptop for Valentine's Day. So I'm looking at upgraded Sony Vaio model. I am only partial to Sony Vaios, and Toshiba Satelites So, if any of ya, like Paint are diehard fans of Apple, please dont tell me to get one of those. I don't like them so I'm looking at a Sony Vaio VGN-AR630E at the moment it's a 1600 dollar laptop, probably going to be ordered from the infamous website I am interestd in the AR series so if yall think of any other models that are a nice upgrade. Give me some suggestions!! Also keep in mind, my old Vaio Laptop, was a 1,200 dollar laptop, pretty standard to me.

Get a Toshiba. I love Toshiba laptops, they are much better than the extremely overpriced Sonys. :/

Nah, don't like the layout of the New model Toshibas. Sony Vaios, I've always liked. The laptop I plan to get is a 1600 but then with taxes and such it comes out to around 1700, not sure which one I'll go with as of yet, as i keep looking I see another one I like, but it's over 2,000.

What about a Dell Inspiron? You can get one with nearly identical specs for $200 less, plus you can get it in "Flamingo Pink", And we all know how you buy things just for the color.

Yep I like pink, I looked at the CR series laptops Vaio, and they only come in colors in that Series, and have 14 inch screen, I'm not looking to get a smaller screen so my new laptop is going to be black. Also the CR series, was not enough pimptasticness for me. My vaio now is a 15 inch screen, my fiance also has a 15 inch vaio, our laptops look hte same only mine has better specs.

Dells are crappy in my opinion. Never will get one of those.

What's everyones take on HP laptops? I think they suck.

And Paint, not all of us like Macs, I don't, and I can afford to go buy a Macbook Pro, but I think it's a backwards computer, not for me.
