Anyone else having issues chatting with friends on the dashboard? I can do it in game and receive voice messages, but when I invite and he accepts it kicks me out of the channel I'm in. Any suggestions?

sounds to me like a NAT issue. Go to the final blade of the dashboard(System Settings?) and go down to something like Network Test. Test your XBOX Live Connection and see what the final test result is. It will be titled NAT. The results can be either Open, Medium, or Strict. You only want it to say Open. If it says something else then you will have problems like this, and other problems in connecting to people. If yours is Open, then have your friend test theirs and see if theirs is set to Moderate or Strict.

If it is the NAT then you're going to want to either put your 360 in the DMZ, (demilitarized zone) or forward ports 88 and 3074 to your 360. People will suggest other methods, but they pose a security risk for your entire network, so I would advise against them.

The only reason that I could see them not working is if you did it wrong, or your modem/ISP is blocking it for some reason. Putting it in the DMZ should free it from the influence of any router security that is causing the problem...

I did it correct, it just didnt work...I have quite the setup you might say, lol.
The cable comes in, goes into the Modem, then from the modem to a 8 Port Gigabit Switch, 1 port obviously comes from the modem, 1 port goes to my 360, and a 3rd port goes to VoIP. The VoIP then goes into the router, and the router then goes out to this computer, the IMac, my other sisters computer, and wirelessly to my brothers laptop. Before, when I had Strict NAT, we didnt have the Gigabit Switch, my 360 was plugged into the router. Nothing I did would eliminate the Strict NAT setting, the only way we were able to solve it was to use this Gigabit Switch thingamabob. We had our computer 'geek' friend come over(who works for Apple, doing nothing but this sort of thing and fixing computers) and he spent hours working on it, and this was the only thing he was able to come up with. EDITED the first sentence in the paragraph because it was wrong
