hey im a newbie to x box and only just brought x-box core system......but i have a problem...i just purchesed a 3 month suscription to x box live can someone just please guide me through this and give me instructions to be playing online a.s.a.p

p.s do i need a special x-box ethernet cable

If you have a wireless router along with a xbox 360 wireless network adapter you should be able to connect to xbox live fine. However there are other methods of connecting. For those methods I suggest on checking out the link I posted.

Before u go any furthur, this is important that u answer. You bought the XBOX 360 Core System. In order to connect to XBOX Live you need to have a memory device on your XBOX 360, whether that be an XBOX 360 Memory Card, XBOX 360 20 GB HDD or an XBOX 360 120 GB HDD, doesnt matter, as long as its one of those. If you do not have a memory device for your XBOX 360, you cannot connect to XBOX Live because in order to connect to XBOX Live you need to have something to save everything on.

Check out this link for Compatible XBOX Live Routers and Non-Compatible XBOX Live Routers. If your router is listed under XBOX Live Compatible, your fine. If it isnt, then you need to get a new router. Also, any Ethernet Cable will work fine, theres no such thing as a special XBOX one.

Also, please do carefully look through everything on the original Link Syntax gave you, the answers to the questions you have been asking have answers on that link. We dont know them all off hand. If you cannot find something on the link, i suggest using the Search function on that link before asking again here because basically when you come back on here and ask that question, all we do(unless its a simple question we can answer off hand) we just use the same link and search for it on there.(srry if i sound like a douche, im not meaning to)
