PS3 is acually cheaper than the 360 in the long run

I’ll be the first to admit- I payed $600 for my PS3, that’s $300 more than some people payed for their core system. But the point that all of you 360 fans casually forget is that in the long run, my system will be cheaper. The PS3’s online is completely free, completely free. Xbox Live costs $7.99 a month. You use “Live” for four years and it all adds up. The math is quite simple- $7.99 multiplied by 12 months, multiplied by 4 years. That’s 383 dollars for four years of service. I just don’t understand why many Xbox fans in Xbox vs. PS3 debates, like to point out the Xbox’s price compared to the PS3.. Because in the long run, that point is mute.

I know, I always point that out, but everybody seems to be too stupid to realize that even if the price is spread out it still costs you more. They always respond with something like "well, ya, but that is over a long time." it would cost over $1000 to get a 360 equally equipped. Oh, and your way of adding up Live costs is retarded, because if you are smart then you just buy it a year at a time. That makes it only about four dollars a month.

LOL it does too. Compare the games from when the 360 was at the same point in its life. I don't understand why people think that it should have the same amount of games as a console that has been out for twice as long.

Regular demos. In the last week I think three have appeared. (someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
Huge community 60-70% of Xbox 360's players are online.
90% of people on live have mics.
Downloadable movies. (available to Europe in 08.)
85% of 360 games have multi-player (increasing value for money.)
Xbox Live Arcade.

This is just my opinion.. and you are entitled to yours.

Look at games like Oblivion, and The Darkness. They both look better on the PS3, and the PS3 versions have more content. (because of Blu-ray)

And I would say that being able to think of 13 great exclusives just off the top of my head is pretty good......

And where did you get that statistic from? I don't have an actual percent, (as you probably don't) but most PS3 games are online.

The PS3 has an equivalent of that. There are a bunch of little games like that in the store, plus you can download a bunch of PS1 games.

LOL so I can't make a prediction that a game will be great unless it is out? So you can't say that Halo 3 will be a great exclusive because it isn't released? And if I was a fanboy, then I wouldn't have all three consoles, I wouldn't be the number one poster on 360 forum, and I wouldn't be one of the highest posters on a Wii forum......

Halo is an already established great game. So, you can't use that as an example. The only one on that list that was already established to almost but not quite the level of Halo was God of War. That was a terrible comparison. And.. I'm sorry if I came off like an ass but saying XBL is not better than PSN is retarded by any stretch.
