I just looked on Xbox.com and they have a lot of deals for HDDVD.

If you buy a 360 from Walmart you get a free 300 HDDVD/DVD combo disc.




You get five free HDDVDs when you buy a 360 HDDVD player. (It doesn't matter where you buy it from)




Plus as always, you get King Kong with the player.......too bad HDDVD sucks ass. :p

LOL Ya, it does. It has almost no support by any of the large movie industries compared to Blu-ray, and it has less capacity than Blu-ray. The only way I could see it doing good is because of porn, but porn in disc format isn't too popular anymore. The companies that make Blu-ray are idiotic to not allow porn on their format.....

BTW the dumbass that made that free 300 ad needs to be fired. I have never seen such bad jaggies in an ad.

paintballer your a dumbass HDDVD now has more storage then Blu-Ray. (These numbers could be wrong cause im just trying to remember what they were from an article i read a few weeks ago) Blu-Ray's capacity is 50 correct? The new HDDVD is 51 lol

....But its a triple layer. A double layer Blu-ray holds the same amount. (ok, one gigabyte less) So if they made a triple layer Blu-ray (they don't have the need to yet) then it could be 75GB. Plus capacity is useless if the format isn't supported by anyone.

On a side note: I'm interested in the Versatile Multilayer Discs. They are just DVDs with shitloads of layers, and has 30GB per side. They are much cheaper than HDDVD and Blu-ray.....
