Fall Update - Dont change your Live ID just yet

Hi everyone,

We wanted to let you know that we discovered an issue with the Xbox LIVE Dashboard Update that is coming tomorrow morning.

If you change the Live ID associated with your gamertag (as the Fall Update now allows you to do), you will lose all of your forum posts, Community User Level and icons. All your posts will appear as "anonymous." We’re hard at work on a fix, but despite the team working on it all weekend, we don’t have a fix ready to go out with the update.

If you want to keep your Community User Level or forum icons please DO NOT change your Live ID until we deploy a fix. It should only be a few days, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We will let you know as soon as it is safe to change your Live ID and keep all your forum goodness.

TTR I am confused by this post. If I change my live ID it will affect my posts on this forum or are they talking about another forum?

Is this fixed yet? And how much does it cost to change your tag? (too lazy to turn on Xbox) I'm thinking about changing mine to Apple Fanboy, or SteveJobsPwnsU. I like mine, but nobody understands it, and the people that do I don't understand. Plus I'm getting tired of being called Shaleece. :/

I searched for all of these on Xbox.com, and it said they didn't exist, so I guess they are open for me to use. I wanted iFanboy, but its already taken.

I'm also open to new suggestions.

o you have got to use ArrogantMacUser, definately the best one on the list.

I do believe this is fixed, but i have only gotten unofficial confirmation from forum members, and nobody from XBOX...i sent an email to JadeLive asking her(when i was sending in my email for the holiday wish list article) but she never responded...so im just going to send her a msg over XBL asking her. They said in the original post that they will let us know as soon as a patch is available, but all that happened was one day the post had been deleted..so instead of saying yea its fixed now go ahead, they deleted the post with no word on whats up..

The issue isnt changing your Gamertag either, the issue is changing your email address associated to your gamertag.
