I saw this commercial thinking it was endwar. I was interested but after reading the forums I suggest STAYING AWAY from this game. Not only is it a governmental sim, the games story isn't of my concern (f-ing oil, piss off) and the forums themselves prove that the dudes that did desert combat for BF1942 are much like EA in that they will use a BF2 clone look-alike system without making one of their own - Also ignoring customer complaints. Not only that, there are many issues people are having with even installing and playing the game at all. I suggest you google the website and find the forums if you're interested in the game because the forums to a game will usually lead to the appropriate decision from others experiences.

First off, it uses securom. Boo.

Secondly its a war for oil, that is lame. I don't mind fighting china, russia I ..well I fear the spetnaz like you should. But oil? Give me a break. Sure its a realistic story, to a point, but it isn't interesting.

After initial research, I find that it is not worth the $50. At least until they get their act together, though most of the problematic posts don't even seem to have responses. The good posts just say the usual (puppy love for new FPS's) "Its unlike any other FPS" - "It does things no other FPS does" Etc etc.

Heard it before. Thats what they said about BF2, then BF2142, HAH.

I haven't got an intelligent speech to say, but that's your opinion. I disagree. As I said, I haven't got a speech to back it up with, I just don't see anything wrong with the game, the online and single player are good in my opinion. I don't see why it becomes boring because it's about oil.
