Those who fired up their new copies of Guitar Hero III yesterday might have been disheartened to find that the game lacked the offline co-op quickplay mode. Luckily (for a portion of you, at least) that's going to be addressed with a quickness, thanks to a patch that 1UP says is coming this Tuesday to Xbox Live.

The bad news is that there's no word of similar treatment on the Wii or PS3 versions so far, but hopefully it's not too far off. We're not sure what's so difficult about offline co-op quickplay that it had to be addressed with a patch, but we're happy that Activision seems concerned enough about it to act on it so quickly. Of course, that's not much comfort to those without internet or (we're looking at you new Arcade owners) a hard drive to save the patch on.

Guitar Hero III came out???? Fuçk, I can't believe I missed that too!

I don't really care about the co-op though since I rarely play multiplayer offline. I don't really have many friends that are gamers, and the few I do have don't play them at my house since they are pissed that they still have PS2s. :/

i was at about 95% certainty i was going to get GH3. Now that has gone down to basically 0%. I played it at a friends house, and while it kicked ass, there were more songs on GH2 i liked. Also the features of Rock Band just make it look pathetic..Im almost certain im going to be getting Rock Band now instead.

I'm still not sure which I'm going to get. I've been playing the demo, and I love it, (except that I'm playing with a regular control) but Rock Band looks great too. But Rock Band is more expensive, I would never use the mic, and I'm not sure if I would ever be able to use the drums. I would probably play the drums most out of all of them, but like I've mentioned multiple times on this site, I injured my hand, so I can't play drums, and chances are my hand isn't going to get any better. Are there really any features that put Rock Band ahead of Guitar Hero if you can only use the guitar?

LOL STFU! Its not like I just sprained it or something, I tore a ligament, and as a result of that I got some RSD bullshit that there is no method to treat, and usually doesn't go away, so I'm pretty much ****ed and probably won't be able to do anything with my left hand the rest of my life. Luckily I can still type. And isn't that all that matters?

paint, i was thinking the same thing about Rock Band untill i found out there was online play. You can go online with what ever instrument you want and hook up with other people using the other instruments to form a band. That is one of the main things that is convincing me to get it.
