Depends on what you plan on doing.

I got one not the Christmas just passed, but the one before that, because at the time, the only game I was playing was UNO with 3 friends, we were spending pretty much all day everyday for a couple months playing UNO together, so the Vision Camera for me was pretty worth while.

Ive barely used it since however.

So depending on what you play, and what you plan on doing with it, then it can be worth it. For the majority of people I would have to say it isnt worth it though. Theres really no games that actually use it, and those that do, dont use it all that much.
