If you are thinking about upgrading your 360 please read the following email from 360 support
Hello MR *********, Thank You for contacting Xbox Customer Support. I have received your e-mail regarding the issue you have with playing your arcade games on your new Elite console. We submitted a request for a license transfer and have now been advised it is not possible as your original console was not an Elite system. We are only able to transfer a license if the console is of the same specification. In general it is only possible to transfer a license if the console has gone through our repair center. If the console is un-repairable and needs to be exchanged then we can make arrangements so the license is update to the replacement console. In some cases we have made exceptions were as customers who have exchanged there faulty unit in store like for like. All the premium content is restricted by the data security provisions and none transferable. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED |

ok.....people like kind of already know that when you get a new 360 your full arcade games wont work unless you are signed into XBOX Live...thats pretty well known..
I assume at least that is what this email was referring to as it doesnt specifically say, it just say the issue you have with playing your arcade games on your new Elite console..

every profile should have access to the Trial Version, but the only account that can access the full version should be the account that downloaded it, correct?
Thats not how it is on the console you bought the games on, yea, but thats what its like when you get a different system. On mine, the Arcade games I bought before getting the RROD, now only work when I'm signed into XBOX Live on my Gamertag, When my brother/sisters try to access them on their offline accounts, they can only get the trial version now. I know it sucks ass, but its pretty much the only way to stop people from buying the game, and then putting it on MU and taking it to their buddies place and giving them a copy of it for free..

PROBLEM SOLVED
If you sign into live with the profile that the product was downloaded to with one controller and into any other profile with a second controller all the full games are back Pity 360 Support could not help but a chap called xenocidic was great |
