Xbox Live Update and Xfps Pro Adapter ?

hey

did the latest xbox live update on the 18th have some sort of fix in it that disables the use of xfps keyboard/mouse adapters?

i noticed that when i rented frontlines of war and put it in, the keyboard worked for a few minutes after the update then slowly the keys stopped working and finally the wired xbox controller no longer lit up.

the controller still works fine when plugged into a usb port.

can anyone confirm this?

If it was a result of the update then it wouldn't slowly stop working...it sounds like a hardware problem to me.

yup what paint says sounds right. If the update made it so it wouldnt work, then as soon as you plugged it in after the update it would instantly not work, it wouldnt slowly stop working.

i will return the wired controller today and get a new one to see if that helps.

one weird thing that happened was it kept scrolling to the right, on the menus and in game with the keyboard until it stopped working.

then with just the controller plugged in it kept scrolling/going to the right.

then it just stopped doing that and acted normal (the controller neway)

as i was walking out the door to get a new controller the idea of wiping the hard drive crossed my mind so i looked it up and did the xx rb lb xx on the memory screen to delete the game updates

and wtf now my xfps works again with frontlines.

i dont know how/why that happened last night, and why the controller was acting so weird.

i think maybe it has something to do with the game updating while its already running and not completely restarting the xbox to redetect all controllers?

any input would be great the next time this happens and i have a heart attack

no idea why that happened like that..If clearing the cache on your HDD fixed the problem though, then just remember that so if it happens again, just do that quick fix and you'll be good to go. It could have had something to do with the update not properly installing or something..
