VGA Cable Problem

[If I read this I am a NUB]

So I got myself a VGA to DVI cable or something like that (The one that allows you to play your Xbox 360 on your monitor)

But the problem is, the audio cables are REALLY short. So they won't reach my PC.

So is there any way to make them longer or something? I don't know. (Angryness: Stupid cable. Microsoft made a bad mistake making that cable. It's like, how do you expect someone to put their pc right by their monitor? I mean comeon Microsoft you stupid newbs.(End angryness.)

So any help would be appreciated.

what audio cable do you have? a headphone cable?

You can get a RCA or 3.5mm (depending on whether or not you are using the included adapter) extension cord.

It's the same as the ones on the cable that come with your xbox360. One is white and one is red.



That's exactly the one I have.

As you can see on this picture:



It has a block bit, so you can't spereate the video and audio cables therefore it can't reach the PC.

Then like I said, get an RCA extension cable. Something like this . (you'll probably want something a bit shorter, but you get the idea)

If you have the official MS VGA cable it should've came with a RCA to 3.5mm adapter. And if you can get the system audio to output to your headset then you should be able to hear it.

Yeah, I actually got it off amazon marketplace, cause I didn't realise that it needed an adapter (My fault), so I need to buy one. Yeah I'll give it a go and hopefully it will work. If not, I'll buy some speakers.
