Hey i have a 360 core consle, and a HD tv but cannot connect via HDMI but can i connect via Component cable?
If so how come every 360 component lead i look at has 6 pins and not 5? it has a yellow one too, is this an extra? or does the tele need 6 because mine just has 5 sockets (Green,Blue,White,Red x2) So in short can i connect my core 360 via component into hd? and why does it have 6 pins?! I appriciate your help! |

The Microsoft cables can be used for component or composite. The red and white cables are audio, so they're used in either case, but the video changes. It's yellow for composite and green, blue, and the other red for component. There should be a switch that you can choose HD or SD or something like that. It just changes which cable(s) the video is outputted through.
So to use component you'll want it set on HD. And you can just leave the yellow cable unplugged. |
