okay okay. so i went online, did microsoft's "repair" procedure, and it didn't work. i even did removign and then putting back the hard drive and turning the console on and off.

1. what is the power supply? the ring?
2. what do i do after i did the hard drive thing and still had red lights?

The power supply is the huge grey box....
Since you did the harddrive thing..you need to call microsoft tech support
