Just got the new Nyco Intercooler

I can't stand foreigners, but yes you're right. I shouldn't bring racism into the hole forum scene. I can't stand it though when people don't agree that the Intercooler is a piece of crap... it does break more than it fixes, but I'm glad it's serving plissken well.

I just hope that the TeckNet one is good. It should arrive tomorrow. If not sometime next week. I'll let you all know how it goes. I cannot afford to get another 360 hell no, specially as the Elite is out this month. (With the same chips), and if this thing voids my warranty, I am gonna go balistic!

UKFX, how many times do i need to tell you before you'll understand that Nyko repairs your console for free if it breaks?

If you are willing to cut the racist crap and foreigners crap UKFX then i would say you are more then welcome to stay here.

Well I am british. And I am a bad bad bad!!!! speller!!! but dude I do use this product and it is serveing me well but who knows what will happen after all thos ill probly drop it and it will break... its your choice man if you get it I hope it works grate for you but if you dont wanna chance it the go with that

OK... lets leave it at that, Im just going to say, from the numerous reviews I will not buy the Nyko. However... the TeckNet is arriving shortly, which is similar, so we'll soon see if this is crap. I actually e-mailed the company earlier asking them if the product had issues with taking power from the 360, or leaving any marks or other damage, and they replied, but within the reply and many spelling errors, they managed to tell me that they had no idea what their product did apart from extract hot air from the console and cool it abit.

So if it starts ****ing my hardware up I know who's paying for my Xbox, haha

Haha of course the company.

I believe that if a third party company makes a product, that they themselves don't even know is capable of doing. If it damages the system, both should be repaired or replaced.

As for download content, ermmm loads of MS points.

It no longer voids your warranty? Because I'm 99% sure they said that using 3rd party products with the 360 voids it. I remember it clearly because, so many peoples consoles that died from the cooler was void, unless they changed it because they admitted to terrible hardware failure I suppose anything helps. But I do remember at one point that those products did void the warranty. :S

Hangon a sec? Nyko Intercooler is APPROVED?! By MS?

So this previously unsigned 3rd party product has now been signed by Microsoft saying it is safe to be used with a Xbox 360?!?!!?!?! Alot must have changed these past few months because it was all pointed fingers at Nyko before, everythings changed with MS n Nyko wth is going on!? It's crazy.

Almost all the third party products are approved by MS before they are sold. I am fairly sure that there is a little MS sticker on the Intercoolers packaging and I would scan it, but I can't seem to find the package.

paintballer, the Nyko Intercooler, nor any other 3rd party product are approved by M$. They may be approved in the sense that M$ allows them to be made for their system, but they are not approved in any other sense. Using ANY 3rd party product will immediately void your M$ warranty.
I just went and checked my box for the Intercooler, and theres no sticker on it anywhere saying it is approved by M$, it does however say "This is a Nyko product and is not endorsed, manufactured or distributed by Microsoft."

UKFX, you should find out if this NecTek company will repair your console and cooler free of charge if it breaks your console like Nyko do.

I will try to get more info on this other cooler and see if its sold over here because i would be interested in buying it if its better then the Nyko Intercooler. But if it causes 360's to malfunction and the company will not repair free of charge, then theres no way i'd buy it. I'll stick with my Intercooler and if it does happen to break my console again, then at least i can sleep safely knowing Nyko will repair it for free.

BTW, on the new Intercooler boxes, it lists improvements on the Intercooler, a new locking mechanism for secure connection and Improved metal contacts for optimal power flow(taken directly off of the brand new box i just got) I dont plan on opening this Intercooler, yet at least, because since it is sealed and brand new, if i find out that this other cooler is actually far superior, i might sell this Intercooler and buy the other one. Again, as long as the company will repair my 360 free of charge like Nyko does if something goes wrong.
