My harddrive just craashed so i got an unofficial harddrive for my 360 but it is not able to play original xbox games so i was wondering if anyone had a patch that could fix this problem.THX

Did u download the patch from Xbox.com. If you didn't do so then burn it to a cd-r/dvd-r and put it in you xbox that should update it. If you already did that then I am out of ideas.

i already got that it just says that my hardrive canot play halo 2 or any other original xbox games

What do you mean by an unofficial HDD? Do you mean an external HDD? If you do then you can't use those for any games.

no its a hardrive that is not the recomended 20gig 360 hdd

But how is it hooked up? Did you just take the old one out of the other HDD case and put the new one in? Or is it connected through USB?

Western Digital 40GB hard drive.

Is ^that what you got? Because I know there is a hack to make them work.. even though you can't use the extra space. But, you don't have to buy the $100 HD, considering that one is $60.

of the 120GB HDD? Its the exact same looking as the 20, just says 120 HDD instead of just HDD.

no its not recomended for the 360 its for coms and we just thought that biger drive the better so we got it and it says wen i put in a xbox original game that u need a 20 gig 360 drive
