The other day I turned on my 360 and when the logo came up it was in black and white, No gray, just literall black and white, so it wasn't a problem with my tv. It was like a layer of the screen didn't load or something. I turned the xbox off fast so I don't know if it would have kept up or not, and it hasn't done it since, but I thought it was pretty strange. Has this happened to anyone else?

That's interesting..Can't say I've ever seen it or even heard of it on other forums for that matter. Do you have the original or elite 360? How long have u had it?

thats happened to me many times. Sometimes i'll turn it on and everything will be in black and white. The games will be black and white, the dashboard, everything. Then when i switch my TV over to regular TV, that will be in colour. Ive also had times though when my TV will be in black and white instead of colour, when the TV turns on though, the logo that appears(for the TV, not XBOX) is in colour, then the shows appear in black and white...I dont know why it does it, but i just turn the TV off, switch the main power supply off, then turn it back on again and everything is back to colour. Ive always assumed its been my TV..
I know my S-Video cable for the 360 doesnt work anymore for some reason. Just the S-Video port though, when thats plugged into the TV, the XBOX shows up in black and white, but when using the regular port, it shows up in colour. My S-Video cable for the OG XBOX comes up in colour, so i know its the cable. Thats a seperate issue though, the cables just broken. I just got a new 360 a couple months ago, and i have yet to have the black and white thing happen with it, so it might have been a problem with the old XBOX 360, i duno. I dont think it should be a real problem though, when it happens just shut everything off, turn it back on again. If its still black and white, leave it for a few hours and try again. Thats what i did. It never caused me a problem just a minor inconvenience. I did a couple times play through the black and white just because, i dont think it did any harm.

I have the original, and I've had it for a few months, but its a refurbished version. TTR seems to be describing the same problem so I guess its not just me.
