I picked up one of the messenger kits shortly after they were released. Alot of my friends seem to like texting more than they like chatting, so I figured why not. This thing is great. It doesnt have any effect on how the controller feels in my hands, and it allows me to message etc. 20x faster. The keys also light up allowing anyone who doesnt text all day to actually see what they are doing. It also comes with a headset that has a normal audio plug, as the messenger kit takes up the original headset plug on the controller. The headset has a nice collar clip with a switch, instead of having it by the contoller, which is kind of lame, being that its easier to slide a switch right by your hand instead of your neck. Other than that my only other complaint is that they only come in white and it looks lame on my Elite controller, however it should look alright on my blue controller when I get one.

Yeah, I have this also. Only because I needed a headset.. no stores had one.. and I knew this came with one. It really is worth it though.

I want one, but it isn't really worth it for me since I could easily just turn around to my Mac when I want to send someone a message.

i will probably be picking one up at some point. I think i'll wait for a price drop or two though*fingers crossed soon! lol*
I dont like the headset it comes with because of the mute and volume thing. Doesnt affect me though i have a wireless headset thats awesome. I would highly recommend every1 get one. The sound quality is much better then the crappy wired ones, and they dont brake constantly.

Does anybody else see this thing as a possibility to a coming web browser? Man i hope so!!! I so badly want a web browser on my 360, i would use it so much. I wouldnt ever have to get off my 360 and come downstairs to go on the internet!

I like the headset that comes with it. It seems more durable than the generic ones you get. My brother has a wireless headset and it is pretty good. But, way to much money. This kit is only $30. You get a headset and the text pad. A regular headset only costs $20. So, $10 for the text pad.. that's a good deal.

I doubt MS will make a browser for the 360. They have too big of a problem with viruses......

I agree, it seems much more solid. The collar clip is great too, I just really wish it would have had the mic on/off by the controller.
