Ive had my xbox for 2 years now and it hasn't gave me the ring of death once (exept when i forgot to plug the scart lead in and i shit a brick).

Id say its just down to luck and making sure it doesnt get to dirty etc.

Well i dont know, i am a very cautious person, i got my xbox when it first came out, And i never actually placed my xbox on a vertical position, scared that the cd might fall inside of it , call me dumb.. anyways, so i always had it laying down. When i got the stand to make it look purrty with the game slots on the side and all. and i got the NYKO cooler thing, it broke down like appx.1 month, so i duuno what it could of done that to my baby... dust??? maybe, NYKO??? maybe , who knows, xbox should just make their next system with more caution. Make people happy and forget the market place and making money, make us happy!!!. darn it

Yeah, that sounds like a smart move. They're a company. They're based on money. They don't give a **** about your happiness.
