Hi,
This is probably a stupid question, but is there anyway to connect the
Xbox 360 HD Drive to a HD Television???

Not as a standalone player, no. The XBOX 360 HDDVD drive has to be connected to the XBOX 360 to work. I BELIEVE it connects via USB port to the 360, and plays through the 360 to the TV.

Thanks for the input. I heard somewhere you could use a PC to do that but do not know how?

Also some Hdtv's have Usb ports thats why I wondered if it would work?

Hm, i did not know that TVs had USB ports now..thats interesting..

I have no idea if it would work, although im pretty certain it wont.

No, you can't hook it directly to your TV because there has to be something to do all the processing and stuff. The USB ports are mainly just for updating the firmware of your TV.

You can hook it to your PC though if you have the right driver.

Yea the DVD add on isn't a complete DVD player, like a typical player would be. It lacks much of the inners, which is why it costs less then others. The HDDVD add on requires an external CPU (and prolly lots of other things) before it would work.

If you could hook it up directly to your TV then MS would put other HDDVD makers out of the market.
