Hello,
If the Core 360 comes with standard av cables not component and I have the HD Add On Player, wouldn't I have to have Component Cables to watch Hd Dvd Movies. |

Yes you will need to go out and buy HD cables in order to watch your HD movies in HD.

HD requires Component, HDMI, VGA, or DVI connections.
-Component, VGA, and DVI are video only connections -HDMI is Video and Audio, which is why it is the preferred choice. Honestly I have my DVD and 360 connected via component (video only) and route the audio through my surround unit. My HD-DVR cable box uses the HDMI because it doesn't require the surround sound. |
