Well i was just wandering if the nyko intercooler ex is really worth the money and if it keeps they system from overheating and needing repair or is it just something that makes you feel better and hope that your system doesn't get the red ring of death??

I refuse to buy an intercooler. If the xbox required an intercooler, it woulda came with one.

Besides if your box is destined for death, why prolong it?

Plus the newer 65nm models aren't having RRoD anymore.

I have this Nyko Intercooler EX. It works great. I bought it b/c my xbox 360 went to microsoft for the 3 red lights of doom they gave me another one, i bought the intercooler EX to make sure this one wouldn't mess up, but no you don't need one.

This is a very false statement that unfortunately a lot of people think are true. The 65nm chips do not stop the 360 from getting the RROD. They simply reduce the risk. So you will have less of a chance of getting it, but you can still get it. Not saying you will, just that you can.

The Intercooler EX does work great, but as the others have said, its really not needed.
