I don't missed out on applying for the warranty so if my 360 breaks I'm screwed. I'd like to keep it as long as possible, and I know there have been problems. I see a lot of threads with specific problems (overheating, etc.) but I think it would be good for a single thread with all the tips on how to avoid the red ring of death. What kind of things can shorten/lengthen the life span of a 360?

Oh my bad shoulda looked first.
On the paper that came with my system it said I had to apply for the warranty within 1 week of purchasing, and I never did. Is there a seperate warranty? |
