As far as I know most wireless routers work the same. There's no way you can play xbl with a wireless router though. You'll be lagging in every game.

Apple Airport Extreme....
![]() No you won't. Your router will most likely be much faster than your internet connection. My mini gets the wireless signal from my router, and I share the connection from that through the ethernet port to my 360, so that adds yet another thing that could cause more delay, but still I experience almost no lag ever besides recently when Live has been screwed. |

You may be an exception, but I've heard from too many people and experienced it myself to believe that a wireless connection is trustworthy.

"but I've heard from too many people"
If you must argue with everyone at least make an argument based on their post.

I have verizon's 795k something (the cheap one) and run wireless on Xbox live and I very rarely get lag. I run the Xbox through my laptop's wireless connection and it works great. Any router will work by the way I would go either Linksys or Belkin if you running windows. If your running Mac then ask Paint cause I don't know. Don't forget you are going to need the Xbox wireless adapted also or run it through a laptop like do.

I would highly recommend you use THIS list of routers(from the official XBOX webpage) to select a router as you will be guranteed to get a good router that will work fine with XBL.
Other, if you have a slow connection then you will experience lag with wireless connections, aswell as wired. But as long as your connection is fast enough, and your XBOX is within acceptable range of your wireless router, you will not experience lag even with a wireless router. Basically the only reason you would experience lag is if your connection is not fast enough, or your XBOX is out of range(or at the edge of the range) of your router. Obviously a hardwire connection is always a better choice, but its not always a possible choice. and Fuller, please do not make another post talking like that...that was painfull to read.
