Hi. Is the wireless adapter that you attach onto your xbox 360 any good?

it depends on how far away you are from your router. i would personally use a wired connection but if you have to use wireless it can still be pretty fast

Ya it does but if your desktop is near your xbox then so is your modem, hence no need for wireless.

My modem is in the other room where the cable comes in and where my parent's PC is and my desktop is in my room next to my 360. I'm sure setups similar to this aren't too uncommon.

My 2 lads want an Xbox each. Cant agree enough to get one between them. Question is do I need to run 2 cables to router or is it possible to get one main cable, with 2 inners, to run to 1st Xbox. then run smaller dia cable to 2nd Xbox.?

Ian tell your kids to share one xbox. Then after you settle that run it wireless with either the xbox brand adapter or use a 3rd party(you may have problems) or use a laptop.
