UGO writes: "Two years after the release of the Xbox 360's first system seller, Gears of War, the game is getting a sequel. And, like most sequels, it's bigger, louder and more violent than the original. Yes, the aptly named Gears of War 2 is coming, and we've seen it in action.
The demo we checked out at Microsoft's event picked up right in the middle of the game. Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago are aboard a giant mechanical tractor, the size of a very large tank, which is ferrying them into the heart of a Locust stronghold. Yep, the Locust are back, and up to no good. After the first game's Lightmass bomb failed to take out the main hive, the Locust have been sinking one human city after another slowly working their way to annihilate our race on the planet Sera. There's one human stronghold left, so it's just to the Gears to stop the Locust from behind enemy lines."
