Thats cable broadband. Comcast is my provider and I have been mailed before saying I cannot have more than one physical IP address per house without paying for it. Basically this means you have to buy another protocol to run off of. But this isn't true. As the router splits the connection in a lan and than uses its own connections. However sometimes ISP's limit their connections based on the gateway or the hub of your neighborhood. Everyone in the neighborhood is connected on that hub and that hub connects to the ISP. The ISP can select individual DNS's registered on that hub and filter them.
However I don't know if this is the case but it sounds like it won't connect two because they are conflicting IP's or other information. If all else fails call your isp and ask support why it is refusing a second xbl connection. Or else try xbox support. I noticed this list from one of payne's post, use this it might help. DNS test failed |

my router has 4, i think thats the least amount you can get with it still being a partly wired router. Theres things called Ethernet Switches that can come with hundreds of ports...

I have a netgear router, after plugging in the internet there are 4 ports. This is an older router too. before the a/g/n came out and only 802.11/b was around.
